ABOUT THIS SITE
So this is Curious Borders. Welcome!
The site is a constant work in progress, with the ultimate goal to deliver the best content, in a way that makes it easy for you readers out there to intuitively find what you are looking for. Hopefully I have done a somewhat decent job of doing just that.
But just in case I fell short of my goal, here are some tips - a Curious Borders blueprint, of sorts - for those of you who are new here.

To browse the Blog, start here. Type As like me, who prefer a more goal-oriented approach, can use the Categories list on the lefthand side to skip right to the content you want. My posts are categorized by country, as well as region.
There are other subject matter-specific categories, too. Under "History and Culture" and "Curious?" you will find posts that deal with my favorite type of topic - the intersection of traveling and cultural learning. "Solo Female" will take you to posts about destinations I have traveled to alone, as well as those posts specifically about solo female travel. The "Obsessing Over" category will bring you to the posts where I pretty much just feverishly ramble about my new favorite fantasy locations, all the exciting and wonderful things I want to see and do there. They are my personal favorite to write, of course. The rest of the categories are pretty self-explanatory; feel free to click on through.

You can use the Destinations menu to learn all about the places I have been, and where I am going. You can check out my travel maps, or browse my posts by selecting a region or a specific country. You can also peruse my UNESCO site list, which will click through to the posts about my visits to those sites.

If you need help planning a trip, start at the Travel Planning tab. You can get some inspiration, check out my recommended itineraries, read up on my city guides and destination tips, or browse potential day trip/side-tripping ideas. Hopefully my general Travel Tips are also helpful. You can navigate to these topics using the category list, too.

Finally, you can explore my travel photos through the Photography tab. Connect with me on Instagram, or browse my albums.
Eventually (as in, when I figure out how to make it work), I will have photos for sale as well.

If you like what you see/read, sign up for the newsletter. Or drop me a note. I love hearing from fellow travel enthusiasts!

And . . . that's it, folks. Hope you enjoy!
